MASS GENERAL BRIGHAM INCORPORATED PATIENT GATEWAY TERMS OF USE
1. BACKGROUND

The Mass General Brigham “Patient Gateway” is a patient portal developed and provided by Mass General Brigham Incorporated ("Mass General Brigham") to help you better access your physician's office and staff, as well as to provide general educational information and learn about research opportunities and other Mass General Brigham programs and initiatives. To obtain access to Patient Gateway you must agree to be bound by these Patient Gateway Terms of Use (the "Gateway Terms"). By clicking the "I Agree" button below, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Mass General Brigham may, from time to time, change these Gateway Terms, in which case it will post the updated terms and require you to review and accept the new terms before you continue to use Patient Gateway. If you do not agree to the updated Gateway Terms, or if at any time you no longer wish to otherwise abide by these Gateway Terms, you may not access or use Patient Gateway. The most current version of these Gateway Terms can be accessed at any time by selecting the "Patient Gateway Terms of Use" link.

Certain provisions of these Gateway Terms may be superseded by expressly designated legal notices or terms located on particular pages within this site. However, in connection with the Patient Gateway, these Gateway Terms supersede the Mass General Brigham website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. PLEASE SEE SECTIONS 11-13 BELOW REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS IN ANY DISPUTE INVOLVING THE PATIENT GATEWAY, INCLUDING A WAIVER TO BRING ANY CLAIM UNDER A CLASS ACTION.

2. YOUR ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD

Patient Gateway provides online access to some of the protected health information contained in your electronic medical record, such as summary medical history, certain test results, appointments, and a billing account summary. However, your entire electronic medical record is not reproduced in Patient Gateway.

Mass General Brigham maintains its own instance of MyChart rebranded as patient Gateway, but to the extent that you received care and created a separate MyChart account at one or more location(s) not affiliated with Mass General Brigham who use their own instance of MyChart, Patient Gateway may provide you with the ability to access your health information from Mass General Brigham and these non-Mass General Brigham organizations through a single MyChart account if you elect to link those separate MyChart accounts. In addition, you may navigate between these linked MyChart accounts from within Patient Gateway, or you may navigate to Patient Gateway from another linked MyChart account should you choose to link these separate accounts from within MyChart.

If you decline to link your Patient Gateway account with a MyChart account that you have established at an organization that is not affiliated with Mass General Brigham who use their own instance of MyChart, you will need to separately sign in to MyChart at each such non-Mass General Brigham organization who use their own instance of MyChart to view information contained within that separate MyChart account.

3. PATIENT GATEWAY ACCESS

Subject to these Gateway Terms, Mass General Brigham hereby grants you a limited license to access and use Patient Gateway in accordance with these Gateway Terms, applicable laws, and the rules, policies and procedures that we provide for Patient Gateway. This license may not be shared with or transferred or sublicensed to any other party. You must use appropriate technical safeguards to secure your devices used to access Patient Gateway, such as up-to-date software and virus protection. You represent and warrant that all information provided to Mass General Brigham in connection with the Patient Gateway, including during account registration, is true, accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. You are responsible for your devices used to access Patient Gateway and all charges related thereto.

You understand that information you send or receive via Patient Gateway will become part of your permanent medical record.

4. SECURITY AND PASSWORDS

Access to Patient Gateway is enabled by username and password, security questions and answers, and additional security measures we may implement from time to time ("Account Credentials"). You will provide Account Credentials when registering for access and must maintain that information in strict confidence. Do not share your Account Credentials with any third party or allow another person to access Patient Gateway with your Account Credentials. You must notify us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your Account Credentials were lost, compromised, or misused in any way. You are fully and solely responsible for any and all use of Patient Gateway under your Account Credentials.

5. TERM; TERMINATION

Mass General Brigham may terminate these Gateway Terms and/or terminate or suspend your access to the Patient Gateway at any time and for any reason. We have the right to deny access to Patient Gateway to any person, agency or organization, or to prohibit any person, agency or organization from using Patient Gateway, at any time and for any reason.
